Launch of State-of-the-Art; Christ University and Intel Collaborates

New Delhi NCR, September 7, 2024 – In a landmark event, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR, unveiled its new Intel Artificial Intelligence Lab, marking a significant advancement in the institution’s technological infrastructure. The inauguration was graced by Shri Sunil Kumar Sharma, Minister for Information Technology and Electronics, Government of Uttar Pradesh, alongside other prominent figures from the university and Intel.

The lab, situated within the School of Sciences, is equipped with cutting-edge 5G servers and advanced technologies designed to foster innovation, research, and hands-on learning. Speaking at the event, Reverend Dr. Fr. Jossy P. George, Dean & Director of CHRIST University, hailed the collaboration as a momentous step for the institution: “This is a proud moment for Christ University, Delhi NCR Campus. The Intel Unnati Lab opens new doors for our students to innovate and explore the future of technology. I wish this initiative great success and look forward to the amazing contributions it will foster in our community.”

Dr. Bosco Paul Alapatt, Associate Dean & Head of the School of Sciences, echoed the excitement, stating, “We are thrilled to launch the Intel Unnati Lab at our School of Sciences. This facility will be a game-changer for our students, offering them invaluable opportunities to engage with the latest technologies. My best wishes to everyone involved in making this initiative a reality.”

The Intel Artificial Intelligence Lab is more than just an academic facility. With Intel's direct involvement, the lab will host a series of cutting-edge certification programs over the next three years, covering emerging fields like Generative AI, Cyber Security, High-Performance Computing, Cloud Computing, and Quantum Computing. These programs aim to keep students up-to-date with the rapidly changing technological landscape and industry demands.
