Hindustan International School, Padur, lit up with youthful energy and creativity as it hosted the much-anticipated second edition of its inter-school fest, INNOWIZ 2.5. The event brought together students from 12 leading Chennai schools for a vibrant day of competitions spanning science, technology, public speaking, visual and performing arts, and sports.
The fest served as a dynamic platform for students to demonstrate their skills, collaborate with peers, and explore their passions across 21 diverse events. From NeuroDrone challenges and TED-style talks to short film screenings, band battles, and spirited football and basketball matches, INNOWIZ 2.5 was a true celebration of innovation and all-round talent.
The event was inaugurated by Lt. Gen. Michael A J Fernandez, AVSM, VSM, Commandant of the Officers Training Academy, Chennai, who attended as Chief Guest along with Mrs. Fernandez.
“Discipline, creativity, and leadership are vital to shaping a meaningful life,” said Lt. Gen. Fernandez. “Such events play a crucial role in cultivating well-rounded, confident individuals.”
Dr. Anand Jacob Verghese, Chairman of Hindustan Group of Institutions, reflected on the school’s broader mission:
“INNOWIZ 2.5 captures our belief in holistic education. It’s not just about academics—it’s about encouraging imagination, leadership, and learning through collaboration.”
One of the highlights of the day was a live performance by playback singer Praniti, who enthralled the audience with her energetic stage presence and soulful renditions, making the evening a memorable one.
The fest concluded with a grand Valedictory Ceremony, where winners were felicitated and all participants were celebrated for their creativity, sportsmanship, and innovation. The day wrapped up with a group photo session, capturing the collective spirit of learning, growth, and shared success.
