Odisha: Central University of Odisha, Koraput, is inviting applications for two Guest Faculty positions in Agriculture. The Monsoon Semester of 2026-27 will be the appointment tenure. CUO Guest Faculty Vacancy 2026

The advertised positions are strictly for the Department of Agriculture, of which there are two available. The candidates will be selected for the Monsoon Semester of the Academic Year 2026-27.

The University has not specified the specialisation, as well as the vacancies under different categories. Therefore, candidates should check for themselves the eligibility for Agriculture in the official notification, prior to their appearance for the walk-in.

Eligibility Criteria

Prospective Agriculture Guest Faculty members must have the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Agriculture degree from an accredited college/university with at least 55% marks or its equivalent.
  • A Master's degree in a related subject with at least 55% marks or equivalent from an Indian university or from an accredited foreign university in Agriculture.
  • NET/SLET/SET conducted by UGC/CSIR/ICAR or similar UGC approved exam.

Candidates who hold a qualifying PhD are also exempt from NET as per the notifications issued by the UGC. For other candidates, there are additional conditions such as regular PhD (Mode), thesis evaluation, open viva and research publications and presentations mentioned in the notification.

Salary and Tenure

The selected Guest Faculty receives an honorarium of ₹1,500 per lecture, with a maximum honorarium of ₹50,000 per month. The guest faculty member will be engaged for one semester and can be extended for another semester. The engagement will end if a regular faculty member is appointed, and it will not create any right to permanent employment.

Candidates must bring the filled application form, original certificates, mark sheets, and testimonials along with one set of photocopies to the interview.The application form captures the candidate’s education, specialisation, NET, research, and employment details. Candidates should also note that no TA/DA will be provided for the walk-in interview, and incomplete applications will not be accepted.
