Central University of Haryana Retains Top Position in Haryana in THE World University Rankings 2027

Mahendergarh, Haryana :The Central University of Haryana (CUH) has retained its position as the top-ranked university in Haryana in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2027. The achievement highlights the university’s continued presence in international higher education rankings and brings attention to its academic and research activities.

According to the university’s official announcement, CUH has been placed in the 1001–1200 global ranking band. The university has also secured positions in subject-specific categories, reflecting its participation in international assessments of higher education and research performance.

The THE World University Rankings evaluate universities using several indicators, including teaching, research environment, research quality, international outlook and engagement with industry. These measures provide a broad assessment of institutions’ performance across academic and research-related areas.

For the Central University of Haryana, the recognition offers an opportunity to highlight its efforts to strengthen academic standards, research activities and institutional development. Universities increasingly use international rankings to assess their performance, identify areas for improvement and enhance their visibility among students, researchers and academic partners.

The announcement also reflects the growing importance of research and quality education in higher education institutions across Haryana. As universities compete at national and international levels, maintaining academic standards and developing research capacity remain important priorities.

While rankings offer a useful reference point for comparing institutional performance, they represent only one measure of a university’s overall quality. Factors such as teaching experience, student support, infrastructure, employment opportunities and research facilities also contribute to students’ educational experiences.

CUH’s latest ranking recognition places the university among the institutions from Haryana participating in global higher education assessments and highlights the continuing importance of academic development and research in the region.
