CENTAC or the Centralised Admission Committee has issued a significant update about NEET UG 2026 counselling. The candidates applying for the seats in the state quota of Puducherry for the courses such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, and BVSc have got a relief today. The admission committee has decided to extend the last date to apply for online registration and upload the documents till 05:00 PM on August 08, 2026. Previously, the last date for NEET UG 2026 application was scheduled to be on 06 August 2026. However, several candidates were unable to produce the required documents within the due date. Hence, CENTAC has decided to add two more days for all students to complete their documents and submit the applications. If you have already missed the last date, you should complete the form immediately because no extra time will be provided beyond today’s deadline at 05:00 PM.
Last Date for Uploading Pending Documents and Filling Application Form -
The latest news for the NEET UG 2026 admission is beneficial for the candidates applying for the state, management, and NRI quotas. Since today is the final day to apply for the medical courses in the Puducherry state quota, you should utilise this opportunity to complete your online form. The application portal is currently open on the official website, which will be closed at 05:00 PM IST. Many students who appeared for NEET had been facing issues with obtaining fresh caste, domicile, and income certificates from the local authorities. CENTAC has explicitly mentioned in their official notification that this will be the last day for those who wish to fill up the application form. Furthermore, no extra extension will be provided to any student beyond 05:00 PM on August 08, 2026. Rule for Candidates who Already Submitted the Application Form till 06 August -
One of the most important guidelines issued by CENTAC applies to the students who have already submitted their online application forms before 06 August 2026. The admission committee has advised such candidates to avoid uploading the duplicate or revised application forms after 06 August 2026. It means that the candidates who filled the form before the last date cannot revise or resubmit their application forms once again for any amendments. In other words, the Edit option for NEET UG 2026 application forms will be disabled for all those who have submitted their forms before 06 August 2026. If you have already submitted your form and wish to provide additional documents to the admission committee, you do not need to resubmit the whole form again. Instead, you should use the Grievance option in your dashboard to share the additional documents before the final merit list announcement.
Instructions for Candidates Applying with Old or Renewed Certificate -
Some students, on the other hand, had queries about submitting their application forms with renewed community or residence certificates. Fortunately for them, CENTAC has issued relaxation guidelines for such candidates. As per the instructions, those students who have not been able to renew their certificates from the local authorities may utilise their old ones to fill the application form before 05:00 PM today. Nevertheless, they will be required to submit their renewed certificates to CENTAC via the Grievance option before the merit list announcement. This particular guideline has been issued to avoid any inconvenience to the students who might potentially lose their admission due to certificate problems. However, you should ensure that the old certificate copies are appropriately scanned before uploading them on the portal.

In order to complete your NEET UG 2026 application form before the last date, you need to follow a few essential steps. First of all, visit the official website of CENTAC and log in to your account. Next, you need to fill all the personal, academic, and medical college-related details on the application form. It is critical to ensure that all information has been entered correctly before proceeding to the payment step. Next, you need to upload all the required documents in the proper format and size. In addition, you need to pay the application form fee through online banking, debit cards, orUPI. The payment of the application form is mandatory, as the CENTAC committee will not entertain any application without payment.
