Celebration of National Library Week Begins at CUH

CUH begins National Library Week 2025 with creative competitions, student events, and a message from the Vice Chancellor promoting reading and learning culture.

New Delhi: The Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Central Library at Central University of Haryana (CUH) has inaugurated the National Library Week 2025, an annual celebration held every November to promote reading culture and library engagement. The week-long festivities, scheduled from November 14 to 19, 2025, aim to encourage creativity, critical thinking, and literary expression among university students.

In his message, Vice Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar highlighted the pivotal role of libraries in nurturing lifelong learning and knowledge-sharing. He urged students to participate enthusiastically in the various events designed to inspire intellectual growth and creativity.

Week-Long Competitions to Engage Students

A diverse range of competitions—including bookmark designing, debate, essay writing, and handwriting contests—has been planned to engage students both creatively and academically.

The celebrations began on an energetic note with poster-making and book cover design competitions. Winners were felicitated in a prize distribution ceremony by Prof. Mona Sharma, Dr. Vikash Siwach, and Dr. Dilip Kumar Patel. 

More than 70 students from various departments enthusiastically participated in the opening events, showcasing their artistic and intellectual talents.

Library Team Coordinating the Event

The National Library Week activities are being coordinated by the dedicated library team, including Dr. Santosh C.H., Dr. Rajeev Vashistha, Mr. Naresh Kumar, and Dr. Vinita Malik, who are ensuring smooth execution of all competitions and events.
