CBSE Reschedules March 3, 2026 Class 10 & 12 Exams | Check Revised Dates

CBSE Reschedules March 3, 2026 Exams for Class 10 and 12; All Other Papers Unchanged

New Delhi | : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a revision in the board examination schedule for 2026, rescheduling one examination each for Class 10 and Class 12 that were earlier slated for March 3, 2026.

According to an official notification, the change has been made due to administrative reasons, while the rest of the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 examination timetable will remain unchanged.

What Has Changed in the CBSE Datesheet

As per the revised schedule:

  • The Class 10 examination earlier scheduled on March 3, 2026, will now be held on March 11, 2026.
  • The Class 12 examination planned for March 3, 2026, has been postponed to April 10, 2026.
  • CBSE has clearly stated that no other subject exams have been altered.

List of Rescheduled Subjects

For Class 12, the paper affected by the change is:

  • Legal Studies – now scheduled for April 10, 2026

For Class 10, multiple language and elective subjects originally set for March 3 have been rescheduled to March 11, 2026. These include:

  • Tibetan
  • German
  • NCC
  • Bhoti
  • Bodo
  • Tangkhul
  • Japanese
  • Bhutia
  • Spanish
  • Kashmiri
  • Mizo
  • Bahasa Melayu
  • Elements of Book Keeping and Accountancy

All remaining Class 10 and Class 12 papers will be conducted strictly as per the original datesheet.

Revised Dates to Be Updated on Admit Cards

CBSE has informed schools that the official datesheets are being updated accordingly. The revised examination dates will also be reflected on students’ admit cards once they are released.

Schools have been directed to promptly inform students and parents to avoid confusion and ensure smooth exam preparation.

  • Carefully note the revised examination dates
  • Continue preparation as per the original schedule for all other subjects
