- CBSE delays Class 12 examinations scheduled between March 9 and March 11, 2026 for students in several Middle East countries
New Delhi. : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the postponement of Class 12 board examinations scheduled from March 9 to March 11, 2026 for schools located in several Middle East countries.
According to an official circular issued by the board, the decision was taken after a review of the current situation in parts of the Middle East. The affected countries include Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The postponed examinations were originally scheduled for March 9 (Monday), March 10 (Tuesday), and March 11 (Wednesday). CBSE has stated that new examination dates will be announced later.
CBSE Monitoring the Situation
- In the notice addressed to principals of CBSE-affiliated schools in the region, Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, said the board will review the situation again on March 10, 2026.
- Based on the review, CBSE will take further decisions regarding examinations scheduled from March 12 onwards.
- The circular also noted that the announcement is a continuation of earlier communications issued on March 1, March 3, and March 5, 2026.
Advisory for Students
- CBSE has advised students appearing for the Class 12 board examinations in the Middle East region to stay in regular contact with their respective schools for updates.
- Students have also been urged to follow official announcements carefully and avoid relying on unverified information.
