New Delhi, 21st November 2024 : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to host its National Adolescent Summit 2024, a two-day event focused on life skills, mental health, safety, and well-being. The summit will take place on 20th and 21st December 2024 at the National Bal Bhawan, New Delhi, bringing together students and educators from across the country to foster meaningful conversations and promote holistic development.
In today’s fast-paced world, life skills and mental well-being have become essential for students. Recognizing this, CBSE has crafted this summit as a platform to help adolescents navigate challenges, develop resilience, and build strong emotional foundations. Schools are uniquely positioned to guide young minds, and this summit aims to empower both students and educators to do just that.
What’s the Summit About?
The summit’s main goal is to create an inclusive environment where students can learn skills that will help them thrive in everyday life. It aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, focusing on sustainable well-being programs and mental health awareness. The event also aims to strengthen the connection between schools and families, creating a support system for young learners.
The summit is packed with exciting activities and events designed to encourage creativity, leadership, and self-expression. From exhibitions and debates to cultural performances and workshops, there’s something for everyone.
Exciting Highlights of the Summit

1. Health and Wellness Exhibition: Students showcase their creative ideas on promoting well-being.
2. YUVA Sansad: A student-led parliament focusing on adolescent well-being.
3. KALAKRITI: A painting competition for young artists to express their stories through colours.
4. ELOQUENCE: A championship for budding debaters and public speakers.
5. TAARANG: A celebration of India’s classical dance forms.
6. PATHSHALA NUKKAD KI: Street plays addressing contemporary social issues.
7. MANOVRITI: Screening of short films made by students to showcase their creativity.
8. SAMVEDNA: Inspirational talks featuring prominent leaders and educators.
9. Q-SMART: A fun and engaging quiz focused on health and wellness.
Workshops for Educators
The summit isn’t just for students. CBSE is also hosting capacity-building workshops for counsellors and wellness teachers, equipping them with tools to support students in tackling challenges and fostering mental health.
Who Can Participate?
Each school can nominate a team of four students (from Classes IX to XII) and one teacher. There’s no participation fee, but schools must arrange for their own travel and accommodation.
