CBSE Datesheet 2027: Expected Release Date for Class 10 and 12 Board Exam Dates

New Delhi : According to social media claims, an alleged ‘Live’ CBSE Datesheet for 2027, published on several school and Class 10 and 12 group pages, has sparked even greater interest in the Datesheet this year. All Datesheets released so far have been in personal how-to guides. The CBSE has not yet published an official Datesheet. As of the writing of this article (September 14, 2026), the CBSE has issued the prior intimation for the submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) for the 2026–27 Class 10 and 12 examinations.

According to CBSE, the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations tentatively scheduled for February 2027 will also implement the CBSE's two-board-examination framework for Class 10 students from 2026.

CBSE Datesheet 2027: When Can Students Expect It?

In the absence of official information from the CBSE, we can take a look at how the Datesheets for last year were released. For the 2026 examinations, the CBSE released a tentative Datesheet on September 24, 2025, and the final Datesheet was released on October 30, 2025, after schools submitted their candidates' data and subject combinations.

Given this information, we can assume that a tentative Datesheet for the 2027 examinations will be released in late September to early October, but it should be noted that there is no official word on this from CBSE.

What Happened Last Year? Trend of CBSE Datesheet Release

There have been changes in how CBSE releases its examination Datesheets. For the first time, CBSE released a tentative Datesheet in September 2025. The board mentioned that the early release of the Datesheet would help students, schools and teachers plan. The final Datesheet was released by CBSE on October 30, 2025.

Here are the dates for the Class 10 and 12 board examinations conducted by CBSE in the previous year (2026)

• Date sheet - September 24, 2025
• Final Datesheet - October 30, 2025
• Exams - February 17, 2026

So, the students eagerly waiting for the CBSE Datesheet for 2027 should avoid believing the unofficial posts on social media that the Datesheets are out.

Class 10 Two Board Exam System

The major structural change for Class 10 students has already been implemented.  The NEP 2020 was the basis for the introduction of two board exams for Class 10 by CBSE from the 2026 exam cycle. The idea was to have less stress from a single big exam and give opportunity to students to have another chance to improve.

With respect to the new system,

• Every student has to appear for the first board examination.
• The second board examination is for students who are eligible to improve their performance.
• Students are allowed to improve their performance in three subjects (among Science, Maths, Social Studies and Languages) from the list of subjects as per the rules.
• The second board examination is entirely separate from the supplementary examination.

Based on the circulars released by CBSE for the 2026 exams, the two-board system has been implemented for Class 10 assessment.

What Can We Expect For CBSE Class 12 In 2027?

Currently, the two-board system is not applicable to Class 12 like it is to Class 10. Class 12 students continue to follow the regular board exam system. An official notification for Class 12 examination dates for 2027 will be released by CBSE, and it will clarify the exam dates for each subject.

In the meantime, it is requested not to prepare a daily revision calendar around informal dates that have been posted on the internet.

How To Check CBSE Datesheet 2027

The official timetable for CBSE Class 12 board exams 2027 can be found on the following website:

• cbse.gov.in
• Open the examination section.
• Wait for the Class X/XII Board Examination 2027 Datesheet notification.
• Open the PDF for the Datesheet.
• Read the instructions and the timings for the exam for each subject.
• Save the Datesheet.

CBSE has been regularly releasing exam-related notifications along with the 2026 LOC notification (date of last opportunity to correct) that was released on September 10, 2026. However, an official notification of the subject-wise Datesheet is still pending.

What Students Should Do Until Then

Waiting for the Datesheet should not be an excuse for not preparing for the board exams. Class 10 and Class 12 students can prepare for the exams using the academic syllabus, previous years’ sample papers, and previous years’ question papers. Preparing for the exams does not wait for the Datesheet to be announced.

Students should also keep some flexibility for prep. Before preparing the final timetable, CBSE considers subject combinations and other logistical constraints. It said that for the 2026 Datesheet, it considered more than 40,000 subject combinations.

Final Thoughts

The CBSE Timetable 2027 is still not published. The board has initiated the administrative work for the 2026- 27 exams; however, the official Class 10 and Class 12 class-wise timetables are awaited.

Last year, students got to see an approximate timetable before the final one. Therefore, Class 10 students are required to have a flexible plan keeping in mind having to appear for two board exams, while Class 12 students are required to keep themselves prepared for the regular board examinations. In the absence of formal announcements, the CBSE website should be the only source for final examination dates, and not forwarded PDFs or screenshots posted on social media.
