CBSE Date Sheet 2027: Will Class 10 and 12 Timetables Be Released by October 31?

CBSE Date Sheet 2027: Expected Release of Class 10 and 12 Timetables

New Delhi: Students waiting for the CBSE Board Exam 2027 timetable have a lot at stake. As per some media reports, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release Class 10 and Class 12 timetables by 31st October 2026. However, CBSE has not released any official notification regarding the same. Therefore, students following the 2026-27 academic session should consider 31st October 2026 as an expected date, and not as an official date, for the release of date sheets.

The official date sheet will provide the subject-wise date of examinations and other related details, and help students formulate their plans for revision. The timetable, once released, will be made available on the official website of the CBSE, that is, cbse.gov.in. Students should depend on the official notifications published by the CBSE as final, and not trust any media reports, social network posts, or any other unverified sources.

CBSE Date Sheet 2027: Important Details

When Will the CBSE Release Class 10 and Class 12 Date Sheet for 2027?

The exact day of release is not known. According to a report by Shiksha on October 29, 2026, the CBSE Class 10 and 12 Date sheet was expected to release on the 31st of October, 2026. The report said that the board had not notified any official communications regarding the release of the date sheet.

Events in previous years help explain the importance of the month of October for students. For the board examinations in the year 2026, CBSE released the tentative date sheet on the 24th of September, 2025. The final date sheet for the same was released on the 30th of October 2025. The case with the previous years does not dictate the same with the upcoming years for sure.

Also, students should understand the difference between a tentative date sheet and final date sheet. The final date sheet should always be referred to while doing examination preparations. This is unless the CBSE modifies or revises the final date sheet.

How to Get the CBSE Date Sheet 2027

When the timetable is published by the board, students will be able to see it on the official website. Kindly follow the steps given below

• Go to cbse.gov.in
• Look for “Latest @ CBSE” on the homepage and
• Find the Notification of Class X and Class XII Board Examination, 2027 Timetable.
• Click on the respective timetable of Class X or Class XII.
• Take a print out of the timetable and/or save it for future reference.

Students are advised to check that the timetable relates to the 2027 Main Board Examination and not to the Supplementary/Special Examination/Previous Academic Year Examination, etc. as CBSE issues separate Notifications for the examination.

What Will Be on the CBSE Timetable 2027?

The date sheet is likely to have the examination dates for the relevant subjects for Classes X and XII. The published date sheet is to be examined for the following:

• Subject Codes
• Dates and Days of the Week on which examination is to be held
• Class-wise examination schedule
• Examination timing and duration, wherever mentioned
• Important instructions for candidates

Students appearing for Class XII are to see that their stream and subject combination is correct, and students appearing for Class X are to see that they have checked the examination dates for all the subjects. The final published document should be given priority over the tentative/possible/unconfirmed/informal timetable available on the Internet.

What Should Students Do While Waiting for the Date Sheet?

Students can continue planning during this period. They can prepare based on the syllabus, practise sample papers and previous-year questions and identify the areas that require more practice and focus. It would be best to keep a subject-wise revision plan until the actual dates are allotted. Once the timetable is officially released, students can revise subjects scheduled earlier in the plan.

Class 12 students need to prepare for board exams as well as, for other entrance exams (if applicable). Class 10 students can work on their foundation and practise writing complete answers within the time limit. The most important thing is to make no plans for unconfirmed dates. The predicted release date helps students know when to expect the updates but students should know not to get their hopes up.
