CBSE Class 10 Session 2 Result 2026, Here's Why Students Are Still Waiting

Over 668,000 students are awaiting the 2026 CBSE Class 10 Session 2 results. Here are the anticipated date, scorecard link, login steps, and passing criteria.

CBSE 10th Second Board Result 2026: Session 2 Scorecard Update

This week, more than six lakh students have been refreshing the CBSE results page multiple times daily. Since the CBSE Class 10 Session 2 (Phase 2) Result 2026 has not been published as of the morning of July 8, the board has not announced the date or time for the results. Most students don’t know how much this second attempt matters. Under the new two-board-exam system, students who felt Session 1 didn't reflect their ability have a second attempt to improve the scores of up to three subjects. For many students, this scorecard will be final.

Here is the summary:

  • Result Status: Not declared as of 08 July 2026; No date/time confirmed
  • Exam Dates: Session 2 May 15-21, 2026
  • Number of Candidates: 6.68 Lakh+ (Registered)
  • Candidates Improving Scores: 5.25 Lakh+ (Appeared for Session 1 Improvement)
  • Candidates Appearing for Compartment: 85,000 (Approx)
  • Board’s Earlier Target: By Late June 30, 2026, as stated by CBSE Officials

CBSE Class 10 Session 2 Result 2026: News And Updates

In a webinar, the Controller of Examinations, Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, informed the board that results would be announced by June 30. That deadline was missed, and now students check the portal daily, since July, with no official notice.

Once the results are announced, the board will consider the better of the Session 1 and Session 2 scores while preparing the final Class 10 marksheet for the subjects in which students reappeared.

How To Check CBSE 10th Session 2 Result

As in the previous years, the results will be first published in the official CBSE result portal. Students are advised to follow the steps given below:

  • Go to the links cbseresults.nic.in or cbse.gov.in and look for the results.
  • Click on the link which says “CBSE Class 10 Phase 2 Result 2026” or “Secondary School Examination Phase II Result”.
  • Enter the roll number, school number, admit card ID and date of birth as printed on the admit card.
  • Click the submit button and wait for the scorecard to load.
  • Print the scorecard and keep a copy for admission and school record purposes.

Laptop-less students face no constraints. Check results through:

  • DigiLocker app or website with Aadhaar app-linked login
  • CBSE result service via the UMANG app
  • CBSE 10, followed by roll number, school code and centre number via SMS, to 7738299899
  • IVRS or call option, expected to be available on result day, as seen in previous CBSE sessions

CBSE 10th Session 2 Marks and Scorecard Summary

A score of at least 33% or 27 of 80 marks in the theory component is needed to pass Session 2.

Scorecards will contain:

  • Personal details and school information
  • CBSE session 10 scorecard with theory and internal marks
  • Total with grade
  • Final status with qualification
  • R.L., N.E., R.W., ABST, COMP, UFM, and XXXX will be noted on session 10 scorecards.

Why Does This Matter for Class 11 Admissions

Session 1 Results were Announced on 15th April 2026:

  • Net Pass Percentage = 93.70 %
  • Pass Percentage for Girls = 94.99 %
  • Pass Percentage for Boys = 92.60 %

For students not reaching that threshold and wanting a stronger aggregate for Class 11 stream selection, Session 2 was the safety net that the new policy was keeping in place.

That’s the reason the delay is felt the most. Class 11 admissions—especially to the science and commerce streams that are most competitive—are often based on final admission results and schools across the nation are awaiting the results in order to finalize their admission lists.

What Should CBSE 10th Students Do in the Meantime Session 2 Results Are Not Yet Released?

Results are still being awaited, and students should keep the following in mind:

  • Have the admit card and DigiLocker login on hand since both ask for the same credentials
  • Do not rely on third-party websites, as they are all scams that promise early access; the only site from which you may pull CBSE results is their own or via DigiLocker
  • Keep in mind that the online result is provisional, and a physical mark sheet will still be sent via the respective school after CBSE dispatches it
