CBSE Class 12 Special Exam Date Sheet 2026 Released for West Asia; Admit Cards Available from October 12

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the date sheet for the Class 12 Special Examinations 2026 for candidates appearing from West Asian countries. According to the board's notice dated October 8, 2026, the examinations will be held from October 23 to October 28, 2026. The special examination schedule is intended for eligible candidates who completed the required List of Candidates (LOC) submission through the CBSE website. These examinations have been arranged for subjects that could not be conducted during March and April because of the prevailing situation.

CBSE has also directed eligible students to download their admit cards from October 12, 2026, onwards using the same login through which they submitted their applications. Candidates should check the subject codes, examination dates and timings carefully before appearing for their papers. The special examination schedule applies to eligible candidates covered by the West Asia arrangement, not to all Class 12 students.

The official date sheet lists examinations across five days, from October 23 to October 28. Most papers will be held from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, while Physical Activity Trainer and Artificial Intelligence have shorter examination durations.

Candidates should compare the schedule with their registered subjects and admit cards to confirm the papers applicable to them.

CBSE Class 12 Special Exam Admit Card 2026: When and How to Download

CBSE has stated that eligible candidates can download their admit cards from October 12, 2026, onwards. Students must use the same login through which they submitted their application. To access the admit card, candidates should follow these steps:

3. Open the admit card link or access the application portal used during registration.
4. Log in using the required credentials.
5. Download the admit card and check all the details printed on it.

After downloading the document, students should verify their name, subject details, examination date and other particulars. Any discrepancy should be reported through the appropriate school or CBSE channel before the examination. The date sheet does not specify a separate admit card download link. Candidates should therefore follow the official instructions and use their existing application login rather than rely on unofficial websites.

Why Has CBSE Scheduled Special Examinations for West Asia?

The board's October 8 notice refers to an earlier circular dated September 15, 2026, concerning candidates appearing from West Asian countries. Under that arrangement, candidates were asked to submit their LOC for subjects whose examinations could not be conducted during March and April because of the prevailing situation.

The latest date sheet sets out the schedule for candidates who completed that submission process. CBSE has also stated that one examination centre has been fixed in each country, based on the LOC submitted by candidates. Students should note that this arrangement is specific to eligible candidates appearing from West Asian countries. It should not be confused with the regular CBSE Class 12 examination schedule for students appearing in India.

What Should Students Do Before the CBSE Special Examinations?

With the first paper scheduled for October 23, candidates should use the remaining time to organise their revision and complete the necessary examination preparations. Here are the main steps to follow:

• Download the admit card: Use the same login through which the application was submitted.
• Verify subject codes: Ensure that the subjects on the admit card match the official date sheet.
• Check examination timings: Most papers run from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, while Physical Activity Trainer and Artificial Intelligence have two-hour slots.
• Plan revision according to the schedule: Political Science, Economics, Mathematics and Applied Mathematics are scheduled for October 23, while English Core is the final listed paper on October 28.
• Read the examination instructions: Follow the directions printed on the admit card and any additional communication issued by CBSE.

The published date sheet does not specify a separate reporting time or provide all examination-day instructions. Candidates should check their admit cards for the final details regarding the examination centre and reporting arrangements.

Conclusion

The CBSE Class 12 Special Examination 2026 date sheet for West Asia covers examinations from October 23 to October 28. Eligible candidates can download their admit cards from October 12 onwards and should verify their subject codes, dates and timings before appearing for the examinations. For further instructions and updates, candidates should refer to the official CBSE website and the board's published notices.
