New Delhi, February 15, 2025 – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) successfully commenced the 2025 board examinations for Classes 10 and 12 today. The first day saw the seamless conduct of the Class 10 English and Class 12 Entrepreneurship exams across multiple centers nationwide.
Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, CBSE, stated, "The CBSE board exams for Classes 10 and 12 have begun successfully. Today, the Class 10 English and Class 12 Entrepreneurship exams were held. The Class 10 exam took place at 7,780 centers, with over 23.86 lakh students appearing, while the Class 12 exam was conducted at 995 centers with approximately 23,000 students. The exams were conducted smoothly, and we hope students approached them with enthusiasm in a positive environment."
This year, over 42 lakh students from more than 30,000 schools are appearing for the exams at 7,842 centers across India and in 26 countries. CBSE has implemented strict security measures and guidelines to ensure the integrity and fairness of the examination process. Schools and examination centers have been instructed to follow rigorous protocols for a seamless experience.
Ahead of the exams, CBSE conducted a live webcast for Delhi-NCR principals to outline essential examination guidelines for schools and stakeholders. The session was chaired by CBSE Chairman Sh. Rahul Singh and led by Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Antriksh Johri, Director (IT), CBSE.
