CBSE announces Expression Series on 'Yoga for Fitness'

:- Students can express their ideas through poem, painting and essay writing

New Delhi: CBSE released a circular on July 13 (Wednesday) targeted to all heads of CBSE affiliated schools declaring CBSE EXPRESSION SERIES on 'Yoga Fitness'. As part of the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the theme for the Student-Enrichment activities for the academic session 2022-23 is 'Vision for India @2047'. Students can express their ideas through poem, painting and essay writing. 

Students of primary class (classes 3 to 5) can express their ideas through paragraph writing of 150 words or through painting on topic 'What their yoga schedule will be'. Middle classes students (classes 5 to 8) can express their idea through essay writing upto 400 words or through poem or painting on topic 'Why they love yoga'. Same goes with students of secondary and senior secondary on topics 'Yoga: fitness for humanity' and Yoga: Making India Global. 

The circular also involved how expression series should be conducted which mentioned that schools shall organize the first level Expression Series at their end on the given theme from July 15 to 25, 2022. Information of conduct of the Expression Series should be given to all students. For participation the medium should be English or Hindi. Schools shall complete the evaluation of entries and shortlist one entry per class category for onward submission to CBSE. Schools can submit the entries from July 25 to 30, 2022 using an android phone through CBSE Expression Series App available at Google Play store. 

Each participant will get an online certificate of participation at his/her registered email ID after the successful submission of entry on CBSE Expression Series App. Best entries of each category will be selected by each CBSE Regions for selection of winners at CBSE, New Delhi. 

Three best entries will be selected at the national level. All of these best entries shall be compiled in the form of a booklet for display on CBSE website. The decision of the evaluation committee shall be final and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
