CBSE Activates Portal for Answer Book Verification and Re evaluation Apply by June 6

CBSE has opened the portal for Verification of Issues in scanned answer books and Re-evaluation of answers for Class 10 and 12 students. Eligible students may submit applications online from 2nd June 2026 to 6th June 2026.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the launch of a new service to submit online requests to verify the issues in the supplied scanned answer sheets and request their re-evaluation. The service will be available from 2 June 2026, to 6 June 2026, up to midnight. This service will only be available to students who have already received the scanned copies of their assessed answer sheets. Students can submit a request to rectify the issues which were captured in the scanned copies, or submit a request for the re-evaluation of the answer, if they are not satisfied with the marks assigned.

The students can submit their requests through the online portal, which will be accessed using the credentials available on the official website of the CBSE. The authentication of the students will also be done using their Aadhaar number.

Online Applications Only

CBSE has also stated that the submission of the application, including the payment of the fee, will be done only through online mode. Applications and requests submitted after the due date will not be accepted. The details of the fee are as under:

  • Verification of Issues in the Scanned Copies: ₹ 100 per answer sheet
  • Re-evaluation: ₹ 25 per question
  • The payment of the fee can be done through UPI, Credit Card, Debit Card and Net Banking.
  • Verification Issues in the Scanned Answer Sheets

Students can report the following issues, which can be seen in the scanned copies:

  • Missing pages
  • Missing supplementary sheets
  • Maps or graphs are not in the scanned answer sheet
  • Pages that are scanned are not clear/blurred
  • Answer books that have been scanned are not the ones submitted by the student
  • Evaluation has been done for a different set of question papers

CBSE wants students to carefully analyze their details since no alterations will be made post verification. Also, students are compelled to submit a singular request to verify issues since only one application is allowed per student. Students will be allowed to assess their answers based on their preferences. Also, students are allowed to apply for re-evaluation of questions in any of the offered subjects. In doing so, students will be obliged to provide the details of the question and the page number to formulate the request.

Also, notice that only one re-evaluation application is allowed. Therefore, students must be careful to enclose all questions and all relevant subjects in the re-evaluation request application, prior to making the re-evaluation application payment. Once submitted and paid for, applications cannot be modified. In doing so, students are strongly urged to be careful and adequately planned when submitting their application for Verification of Issues and Re-evaluation.

Once the assessment has been concluded, the Board will evaluate and respond to the request. In effort to develop and enable students to comply with the requests within the designated timeframe, CBSE has launched a video tutorial along with an application process guide. Students must complete the application as early as possible to avoid any last minute system failures.

The deadline to submit requests is between June 2, 2026 to June 6, 2026 and will close at Midnight on June 6, 2026. The application can be made through the following portal - https://www.cbse.gov.in/newsite_old/rchk.html
