CBSE Announces Hub and Spoke School Model Orientation Programme

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced an orientation programme for schools participating in the Hub and Spoke School Model, a strategy aimed at improving educational outcomes through collaboration and resource-sharing.

In this model, “hub” schools act as mentoring and resource centers for nearby “spoke” schools. Hub schools provide guidance on teaching methodologies, co-curricular activities, and administrative strategies, while spoke schools benefit from this shared expertise.

The orientation programme equips educators with the tools they need to implement the model effectively, including workshops on peer learning, training techniques, and academic best practices. Teachers discussed practical challenges, exchanged ideas, and brainstormed ways to improve student engagement and classroom performance.

Officials emphasized that the initiative is not just about administrative efficiency - it’s about creating a community of schools working together, reducing resource gaps, and nurturing inclusive academic excellence. Educators left the programme with renewed motivation, ready to collaborate and implement innovative strategies in their respective schools.

This approach is expected to strengthen leadership within school clusters, enhance teacher capacity, and provide students with a more consistent, high-quality learning experience, regardless of their location.
