Kozhikode : The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIM-K), the conducting authority of the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025, has officially announced a new release date for admit cards. Candidates can now download their CAT 2025 admit cards from November 12 at the official website — iimcat.ac.in
.Earlier scheduled for November 5, the release has been postponed due to administrative reasons, as per the latest notice. Aspirants are advised to log in using their CAT credentials (User ID and Password) to access and download their admit card.
The institute has also urged candidates to rely solely on the official CAT portal for updates and to avoid misinformation circulating on unofficial platforms.
Nearly 3 Lakh Candidates to Appear for CAT 2025
This year, a record 2.95 lakh candidates are set to appear for CAT 2025, marking a slight increase from last year’s 2.93 lakh registrations.
In the 2024 session, the gender distribution included 1.07 lakh female, 1.86 lakh male, and five transgender candidates, reflecting growing diversity in participation.
The CAT 2025 exam will be held on November 30, 2025, across multiple test centres in India, conducted in three sessions of 120 minutes each.
CAT 2025 Exam Pattern
- The test will assess aspirants in three major sections:
- Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)
- Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR)
- Quantitative Ability (QA)
- Each section will be time-bound, and candidates must manage speed and accuracy to score well.
- Mock Test & Security Measures
Starting November 12, candidates can access an official mock test on the CAT portal. This will help them familiarize themselves with the interface, question format, and timer-based navigation before the actual exam.
To maintain fairness and prevent malpractice, IIM Kozhikode has announced enhanced security protocols, including:
- Mobile signal jammers at select centres
- Strict biometric verification
- AI-based surveillance during the test
