Bangalore, January 30, 2026: Canadian International School (CIS), Bangalore successfully hosted the 11th edition of its Annual Inter-School Junior Golf Tournament at Prestige Golfshire, Devanahalli, bringing together over 50 young golfers aged 6 to 18 years from more than 30 schools across India. The prestigious event once again reinforced CIS’s commitment to nurturing sporting excellence alongside academic development.
The tournament witnessed a full day of competitive play, with 18-hole stroke play conducted for Categories A to D and 9-hole stroke play for Category E, in accordance with Indian Golf Union (IGU) guidelines. The lush greens of Prestige Golfshire set the perfect stage for skill, discipline, and sportsmanship to shine.
Students from renowned institutions including Canadian International School, Greenwood High International School, Stonehill International School, AIRAA Academy, Prose Edu Academy, The International School Bangalore (TISB), Vidyashilp Academy, Inventure Academy, and several others participated. Parents and coaches accompanied the young golfers, creating an atmosphere of encouragement, camaraderie, and healthy competition.

Category B:
- Winner: Anirvin (Canadian International School) – 78
- First Runner-Up: Prana (Canadian International School) – 93
Category C:
- Winner: Adit (Vidyashilp Academy) – 73
- First Runner-Up: Bavin (Legacy School Bangalore) – 79
Category D:
- Winner: Ruslaan (Greenwood High International School) – 82
- First Runner-Up: Jaasritha (Greenwood High International School, Bannerghatta) – 85
Category E:
- Winner: Ridhaan (AIRAA Academy) – 31
- First Runner-Up: Shinav (Greenwood High International School, Sarjapura) – 36
Prose Edu Academy was declared the Overall School Winner, lifting the rolling trophy for their consistent and commendable performances across categories.
Sharing his experience, Anirvin, winner of Category B from CIS, said,
“The tournament was a great learning experience for me. Competing alongside talented players from different schools really pushed me to stay focused and bring out my best game. Events like this teach us to handle pressure and stay composed.”
Ridhaan, the Category E winner who finished five under par, remarked,
“The greens were fast today, so I had to take time with my putting, but overall it was a fun day.”
Reflecting on the tournament’s journey, Shweta Sastri, Managing Director, Canadian International School, said,
“What started as a small inter-school tournament has evolved into one of the premier junior golf events in Bangalore. These programs help build confident, well-rounded individuals ready to take on any challenge.”
Mr. Chris also shared his appreciation, highlighting the high level of talent, etiquette, and sportsmanship displayed by the young golfers, noting that the values of perseverance, mutual respect, and excellence were evident throughout the tournament.
