CA Foundation Result Statistics 2026: 18.93% Pass Rate, Topper List And Analysis Of Student Performance
New Delhi: The results of the CA Foundation September 2026 exams have been declared by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). These results reveal that less than 1 in 5 students passed the first-level Chartered Accountancy exam. A total of 19,736 students passed the exam after appearing for it. This has resulted in a pass rate of 18.93%. The result statistics provide insight into how both male and female students performed. The merit list also shows who got the top All India Ranks (AIR). The results were announced on November 6, 2026.
The ICAI had announced on November 1 that the results would likely be declared on the evening of November 6. Those who have passed can now register for the CA Intermediate exam. However, students who have failed can identify areas they need to improve on based on their scores in each subject.

What Is The Passing Criteria For The CA Foundation?
Students must achieve the minimum scores in both of the criteria below.
- Minimum marks in each paper: 40 out of 100.
- Minimum aggregate: 50% across all four papers.
- Total marks: 400.
- Minimum aggregate marks required: 200.
If you do not achieve the minimum marks in any papers you will fail.
What Happens After The CA Foundation September 2026 Results?
Those who have passed the exam can move onto registering for the CA Intermediate. You will need to meet the registration criteria set by the ICAI. Those who have not passed should look at their scores and prepare for the next exam. The January 2027 exam will be held on the 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th January 2027.
