New Delhi :- Over 90 schools in the Delhi-NCR area were thrown into chaos today following a series of bomb threat emails received via E-mail on Wednesday morning. Concerned parents rushed to schools after receiving the alarming news, eager to ensure the safety of their children.
According to Delhi Police reports, a staggering total of 97 bomb threat calls/emails inundated the fire control room by midday, prompting swift and comprehensive responses from law enforcement agencies.
Officials, accompanied by bomb squads and dog squads, launched extensive search operations across the affected schools. However, despite thorough inspections, no suspicious items have been uncovered thus far, offering a modicum of relief amidst the tension.
Among the targeted educational institutions were prestigious names like Sanskriti School in Chanakyapuri, Mother Mary School in Mayur Vihar, DPS School in Dwarka, Mount Abu School Rohini, Mother Divine School Rohini, DAV School, Amity School, Pushp Vihar, and Saket, as well as Sanskriti School in New Delhi district, among others.
Delhi Public School, Noida, found itself at the center of the crisis as it too received a bomb threat via email. Prompt action from Noida police saw the deployment of bomb squads and dog units to thoroughly sweep the school premises in search of any potential threats.
As investigations continue into the origin and nature of these alarming communications, authorities urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities promptly.
