Students from Bharathidasan Institute of Management secured top global positions in both Foundation and Advanced categories of the Capsim Challenge Fall 2025, marking another significant achievement in experiential learning.

Tiruchirappalli, November 20, 2025: Students from Bharathidasan Institute of Management achieved international recognition by securing top ranks in both the Foundation and Advanced levels of the Capsim Challenge Fall 2025. This accomplishment follows BIM’s earlier victories in Spring 2025, making it one of the few institutions worldwide to win both sessions of the competition in a single year.

The Capsim Challenge, organized by Capsim Management Solutions Inc., USA, is a global business simulation event where students manage virtual companies and make decisions across research and development, marketing, production and finance. The competition is designed to strengthen real-time decision-making and global business capabilities.

Final-year MBA students Prasana Subramaniam T R, Yutesh P and Muthu Kumaran R secured first place globally in the Capstone 2.0 Fall 2025 Challenge. First-year MBA students Vaithiyanathan S, Shrie Sannith N and Khailaash Lakshminarasimhan achieved the top global rank in the Core Fall 2025 Challenge. Both teams were mentored by Prof. R. Subramanian. Participants from India, Canada, Israel, Thailand and the USA competed in the final round alongside top Indian institutions such as SPJIMR Mumbai, IIM Bangalore and NMIMS.

Director of BIM, Dr. Asit K. Barma, highlighted that the institute’s focus on simulation-based learning and centers of excellence has strengthened student performance on international platforms. Prof. R. Subramanian noted that the students’ achievements reflect BIM’s supportive academic environment and commitment to developing globally competitive managerial skills.

The winning students shared that the competition enhanced their understanding of decision-making under time pressure, balancing long-term and short-term goals, managing cross-functional challenges and competing with top global business schools.
