Bihar Board Inter 2024 Results: Check past trends
Before the scorecard release dates are announced by the Bihar Board, let’s take a look at the trend of the board releasing Inter result in the past six years:
Last year, too, the BSEB Class 12 exams were conducted from February 1 to 11, 2023 and the results were then declared on March 21. In the past few years, the board has been earning the reputation of declaring the inter result in less than 50 days, and the board has been reducing the time every year. Keeping this in mind, the Bihar Board inter result is expected to release in the second or third week of March.
Year | Exam dates | Result date |
2018 | February 6 to 16 | June 6 |
2019 | February 6 to 16 | March 30 |
2020 | February 3 to 13 | March 24 |
2021 | February 2 to 13 | March 26 |
2022 | February 1 to 14 | March 16 |
2023 | February 1 to 12 | March 21 |
The result generation time of BSEB has changed dramatically since 2018. In 2018, BSEB had conducted the Class 12 exams from February 6 to 16, but the result was declared months later on June 6. However, after that, the Board officials started making changes to improve the timeline of board exams.
With this in mind, the Board decided to implement 50 per cent objective-type questions in the inter exams. In papers with practical, of the total 100 marks, 30 marks were for practical exams and 70 marks for theory exams. Out of the 70 marks theory paper, 50 per cent of the total i.e. 35 marks questions were asked as MCQs while rest 35 marks were subjective theory questions.
Due to the new changes, the timeline improved and results were declared in less than 50 days in the following year, when the exams were conducted from February 6 to 16 in 2019, and the result was declared on March 30.
With a bigger aim in mind, the Board introduced an extra optional paper in the intermediate exams, in which students had to choose Hindi or English in paper 1 which carried 100 marks and in paper 2 they could select any of the 12 languages given as an option (100 marks each). The Board also gave students the option to choose a sixth paper related to the particular stream or any of the 12 languages as an additional subject.
In 2020, despite the Covid pandemic, the Bihar Board was able to maintain the timeline. In 2020, the Inter exams were conducted from February 3 to 13 and the result was declared on March 24. Then in 2021, the result was announced on March 26, for the exams that concluded on February 13.
