Varanasi: The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has invited applications from qualified Patent Agents and Firms for empanelment to provide patent-related services to the university.
According to the official notification issued by the Legal Cell, the empanelment is aimed at facilitating services such as patent filing, publication, examination, and related activities under the provisions of the Patent Act 1970.
Eligible applicants must be registered Patent Agents or Firms under the Patent Act, 1970, and should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in handling patent-related work. Applicants are also required to quote fees for various stages of patent processing.
The university has stated that it reserves the right to empanel any Patent Agent or Firm based on proven track record, even if they have not responded to the current advertisement.
Interested candidates must submit their applications along with supporting documents, including educational qualifications, registration certificate, experience proof, and acceptance of terms and conditions, in a sealed and confidential cover.
The applications must reach the office of the Assistant Registrar, Legal Cell, BHU, within 30 days from the date of publication.
Officials noted that the empanelment will strengthen the university’s intellectual property management and support innovation-driven research activities.
