Bharatiya Bhasha Summer Camp 2026, Why Over 3.53 Crore Students Are Taking Part in This National Initiative

In the Day 6 update of the Bharatiya Bhasha Summer Camp 2026, the Ministry of Education reports more than 3.53 crore students across the Indian subcontinent camped to learn more about Indian languages, geography, history, and cultural heritage.

The Day 6 summary of the Bharatiya Bhasha Summer Camp 2026 was posted by the Ministry of Education and includes a report of the participation by 3.53+ crore students. Students are being given opportunities to learn about the geography and cultural heritage of India by exploring the names of rivers, mountains, and monuments, as well as the various landscapes of the Regions.

As stated by the Ministry, the project has achieved participation from 43 States, Union Territories, and Autonomous Bodies. The project has engaged more than 3.53 crore students. The project is being implemented across the country with the collaboration of school teachers and the local community.

The focus of Day 6 activities was on the geography and cultural heritage of India.

More than 3.53 crore students participated.

More than 23.87 lakh teachers participated.

More than 8.84 lakh schools participated.

43 States, UTs, and Autonomous Bodies participated.

More than 5.62 lakh members of the community participated.

So far, 1,993 educational activities have been conducted.

 

Day 6 Theme: Discover India's Varied Terrain

The 6th Day of the Bharatiya Bhasha Summer Camp focused on the exploration of India's geographic and historical heritage through the naming and meaning of:

  • Mountains
  • Historical Monuments
  • Regional Terrain
  • Landforms
  • Geographical Features

These activities were focused on helping students understand the various customs and geographies of India's Identity while continuing their language studies.
