Become job givers than job seekers: Bandaru Dattatraya

New Delhi. : The Eighth Convocation of Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh was held on Sunday, 27 February 2022. On this occasion,  Bandaru Dattatraya, Governor of Haryana was present as the chief guest, while Prof. K.K. Aggarwal, Chairman, National Board of Accreditation was present as Guest of Honour. The Convocation began with the University’s Kulgeet. On this occasion, the Chief Guest the Governor, Shri BandaruDattatraya said "The society and the country are expecting a lot from the students passing out from the University. We need strive hard to contribute to the society and nation".  He further said that "The government is spending a lot on skill development for improving the employment ratio. Similarly, on start ups. So we need to become job givers than job seekers"

The Guest of HonourProf.K K Agarwal "knowing more than one discipline is necessary. Thus interdisciplinary and life long learning courses play a vital role in the development of a university. As NEP has rightly promulgated we need to prepare global citizens rooted in India".He further said that research not linked to society is of no use. So he said "our research should help in the progress of local and national development. He called upon students to have a depth of a discipline and breadth of other disciplines".

Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice Chancellor of the University presented the progress report of the University and thanked the Chief Guest and the distinguished guests for their presence. On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor congratulated the students who received the degrees as well as gold medals and wished for their bright future. At the same time, the Vice Chancellor also appreciated their parents and teachers, who helped in realizing the aspirations of the students. While presenting the details of the achievements of the University on this occasion, the Vice Chancellor, stated that despite the challenges and obstacles faced due to the pandemic, the University kept its aim and vision firm to promote quality education and research.  Highlighting the research achievements of the university, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar said that the University shall be in a leading position in its research and innovation work in the coming years.

Minister of Social Justice& Empowerment, Govt. of HaryanaO.P.Yadav, Former education minister Prof.RambilasSharma  were present in the program. Besides, members of the Executive Council, Academic Council and Members of the Court of the University, dignitaries from different educational institutions, Deans of different Schools, Prof. Sarika Sharma, Registrar; Prof. Rajiv Kaushik, Controller of Examinations; Dr. Vikas Kumar, Finance Officer and Heads of the various Departments, teachers, students and researchers were present at the Convocation. 

 

Degrees conferred to 1078 students including 24 Gold Medals

At the Eighth Convocation of CUH, Ph.D, M.Phil, Graduate and Post-graduate degrees were given to a total of 1078 students and researchers. Among these, 148 in B.Tech, 72 students in B.Voc. while in Post-Graduate 825 students were conferred degrees. Ph.D. degree to 19 researchers and M.Phil. degree to 14 researchers were awarded.

Among 1078 students and researchers, 604 boys and 474 girls were there. It is important to mention that 825 students passed out in first division.
