Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has reaffirmed the state’s focus on education reforms, youth empowerment, and cultural unity during the ninth edition of Arunachal Panorama at the Rajiv Gandhi University.
Highlighting the implementation of the National Education Policy, the Chief Minister shed light on Mission Shikshit Arunachal, an initiative aligning with the goals of improving foundational literacy and numeracy, improving secondary level education, and integrating skill development into the broader academic framework. The state government has also stated interest in increased investment for upgrading schools, constructing hostels, and improving educational infrastructure with a stronger emphasis on quality education and institutional development.
During the event, Khandu described Arunachal Panorama as an important platform that celebrates the cultural diversity of the state’s many tribes while promoting unity among the younger generations. He acknowledged students and artists for preserving cultural heritage through performances and collaborative activities. The Chief Minister also emphasized the growing significance of entrepreneurship, technology, sports, and co-curricular learning in preparing students for a rapidly changing world influenced by innovation. Initiatives such as the Arunachal Pradesh Innovation and Investment Park were highlighted as key platforms supporting startups, mentorship, and youth driven enterprises.
Alongside these reforms, the government is encouraging students to transit from more traditional career pathways and to become job creators through skill development and entrepreneurial support. Structured programs for youth participation in the armed forces and professional sectors are also being expanded. The event reflected Arunachal Pradesh’s updated vision of combining educational progress, cultural identity, and youth leadership to build a more confident and self-reliant generation prepared for future opportunities.
