APPSC Job Calendar 2026: Andhra Pradesh Government Vacancies

New Delhi.; On March 19, 2026, the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission made a big announcement: the AP Job Calendar 2026 was released for the Ugadi festivities, benefiting government job seekers across the state. After a review meeting he conducted on March 13, 2026, with the Finance, HR-I, Planning and Policy Department, Human Resources Minister Nara Lokesh announced there would be 10,060 direct recruitments spread across 25 departments and 41 notifications.

The document can be downloaded at the Naipunyam portal at naipunyam.ap.gov.in and the APPSC official site at psc.ap.gov.in.

The calendar captures the most posts to date. Recruitment includes Police Constables, Warders, Assistant Professors, Group 1 and 2, Engineers, and Teaching posts through the AP DSC for Class 10 and 12, as well as graduates and postgraduates. The AP government signalled that 1.14 lakh vacancies may be announced across 60 departments. The 10,060 vacancies confirmed are the first part of a much larger announcement.

Four Notification Phases Explained: Groups 1 and 2, Police, DSC Teachers, and More

There are four notification phases in the AP Job Calendar 2026, each with specific dates and departments. As all Andhra Pradesh government job aspirants are expected to be well aware of the notification dates, it is recommended that they note them in their preparation calendars right away.

Phase 1 opens on May 15, 2026. It will have 1,500 job openings in the Higher Education Department, for Assistant Professor positions and likely a few others. The second and biggest of the four phases will begin on August 15, 2026, with the Group 1, or the first in the series, notification. It will have 91 job openings in various departments such as Finance, General Administration, Law, Legislature, Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Revenue, and LFB and IBM. The same phase on August 15 will have Police vacancies, which will be 3,797 in total.

For the various posts, examinations will be conducted in online, offline, or OMR-based modes. The recruitment process for all Group 1 and Group 2 positions will include a Preliminary Examination (objective type), a Mains Examination (written type), and a viva voce.

Qualification and Eligibility Criteria for APPSC Aspirants :

You will get your first notification on May 15, 2026. Until then, there is a lot of work to be done, and it takes a lot of time. To avoid issues with the application portal on May 15, 2026, there are several things you need to do well in advance.

The first step is to do the One Time Registration (OTR) on the APPSC portal (https://psc.ap.gov.in). An OTR will be required to submit any recruitment application to the APPSC, so do this with your documents, a valid email, and your mobile number. You will also need a current photograph, a scanned copy of your signature, and some basic personal information. If you have completed the OTR for any other APPSC recruitment in the past, verify that all personal information is correct and up to date.

You will also need your category certificates. The most commonly used documents during application verification are the EWS certificate, OBC, SC/ST caste certificates, and the Local Candidate certificate for Andhra Pradesh. Certificate delays are the most common reason candidates miss application windows after appearing for the exam.

In the time leading to the notifications, be sure to use the Naipunyam Official portal. The state government has provided free mock tests for the APPSC exam preparation on this portal. These are designed for the General Studies and Mental Ability paper, which are included in almost every APPSC recruitment for 2026. Regular mock tests also help candidates become familiar with the online exam interface.
