St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata Invites Applications for Global Study Abroad & Exchange Programmes

St. Xavier’s College invites students to apply for its 2025 Study Abroad and Exchange Programmes with universities in the USA and Australia. Apply now through the Office of International Studies

 

KOLKATA, : St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Kolkata has officially opened applications for its prestigious Study Abroad and Exchange Programmes 2025, offering students the opportunity to pursue a semester at reputed partner universities in the United States and Australia.

Organized through the Office of International Studies and Programmes, these global initiatives are made possible through Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) signed with leading international institutions. This year’s partner universities include:

  • SUNY Oswego, New York, USA
  • Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia
  • The College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University, Minnesota, USA

Eligibility and Application Details

  • To qualify for the programme, students must:
  • Have no academic arrears in previous semesters.
  • Maintain a minimum of 75% attendance up to the date of application.

Application forms are available for download on the college’s official website. Completed forms must be submitted to Room No. 7 (Ground Floor) of the Office of International Studies and Programmes.
A registration fee of ₹1000, payable via Demand Draft in favour of St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, is mandatory.

Documents required:

  • Completed application form
  • One passport-size photograph
  • Previous semester marksheet
  • Proof of English proficiency
  • Mandatory English Proficiency Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency through one of the following tests:

  • IELTS Academic: 6.5 (no band below 6)
  • TOEFL iBT: 90 (written score ≥ 21)
  • TOEFL Paper-Based: 570 (TWE ≥ 4.5)
  • Cambridge CPE: Grade C
  • Cambridge CAE: Grade A
  • PTE Academic: Minimum score 63 (no section below 59)

Selection and Financial Responsibility

The selection list will be displayed on the Department of International Studies and Programme notice board one week after the application window closes.

Selected candidates must bear the costs of airfare, visa fees, insurance, books, and personal expenses, while tuition and institutional fees are to be paid directly to St. Xavier’s College within a week of selection.

Required Visa Documentation

  • Selected students must later submit the following for visa and admission formalities:
  • Original and old passports
  • Academic mark sheets (Class X onwards)
  • Financial documents including bank statements (past six months), IT returns (past three years), and property/fixed deposit certificates (if applicable)
  • Birth certificate
  • Recent 50x50 mm colour photograph with white background
