New Delhi : - Indian Air Force has officially released the notification for Agniveer Vayu Intake 01/2027, initiating the recruitment process for the 2026 examination cycle. The online application process began on January 12, 2026, and has now been extended, allowing candidates to apply till February 8, 2026, through the official Indian Air Force website.
As per the notification, candidates must be aged between 17.5 years and 21 years, with eligible birth dates ranging from January 1, 2006, to July 1, 2009 (both dates inclusive). Age relaxation will be applicable in accordance with Indian Air Force rules for the Agniveer Vayu intake.
Educational eligibility varies by stream. For the science stream , candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics and English, securing at least 50 percent aggregate marks and 50 percent in English, or possess a three-year engineering diploma or a two-year vocational course with the required subjects and marks. For non-science streams, candidates must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent vocational course with a minimum of 50 percent aggregate marks and 50 percent in English.
The selection process will be conducted in multiple phases, including Phase I Online Test, Phase II Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Medical Examination, and Adaptability Tests I and II. The written examination is scheduled to be held on March 30 and 31, 2026, while admit cards will be issued 24–48 hours before the examination
Physical standards have also been specified in the notification. The minimum height requirement is 152.5 cm for male candidates and 152 cm for female candidates, with relaxation for candidates from the North East, hilly areas and Lakshadweep, as per the norms. The Physical Fitness Test includes running, push-ups, sit-ups and squats whethin prescribed time limits.
