Kolkata: University of Calcutta has invited an application for the position of one Project Associate-I and one Student trainee in a SERB sponsored project.

The Calcutta University has invited an application for the position of one Project Associate-I and one Student trainee in a SERB sponsored project entitled “Functional Characterization of rice EG45- like domain entertaining protein through development of overexpression and knock down plants to identity its salinity responsive role”.

The SERB sponsored project by Calcutta University will be held under Supervision of Dr. Soumitra Paul at Department of Botany, Calcutta University.                                                                                                   

The applicant applying for the post of Project Associate I need certain requirements:                                                                                                                           Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in any branch of life science having 55% marks or equivalent.                                                                                                             Desirable Qualifications: NET/GATE qualification.                                                                                                                                                                                           Emoluments: As per SERB, Government of India norms                                                                                                                                                                               Age Limit: 35years    

The applicant applying as Student Trainee needs to have certain qualifications:                                                                                                                                   Essential Qualifications: Students currently pursuing B.Tech/B.Engg or M.Sc in any branch of Life Science.                                                                                                   Nature of training: Plant molecular biology techniques.                                                                                                                                                                                       Training Period: As per SERB, Government of India norms.                                                                                                                                                                               Emoluments: UniversityRs.5000 per month (as per SERB, Government of India norms)

The above mentioned position by Calcutta University is on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project.
