Haryana: Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh is going to organize various programmes from 25 February to 28 February, 2022 on the occasion of Annual University events – Wonder of Innovation, Foundation Day (Spandan 2022), Convocation, and National Science Day in the University. Hon'ble Governor of Haryana Shri Bandaru Dattatraya will be the Chief Guest of the Eighth Convocation. While series of programmes will be inaugurated by Prof. H.C. Verma Padma Shri awardee on February 25, 2022. Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of the University said that the series of events would be an infusion of new consciousness and enthusiasm among the students & teachers. He said that the University remembers the development journey of CUH since 2009, the way would be paved for the development of new thinking in the field of science on one platform.
The Vice-Chancellor said that Eighth Convocation is to be held on February 27, and this year, the University is going to confer degrees to 1078 UG/PG students and research scholars. During the Convocation, 24 students will get gold medals, 19 students Ph.D., 14 students M.Phil. degree and 1045 students will get Bachelor and Master degrees will be awarded. Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar said that it is a matter of great pride for us that the Governor of Haryana State, Shri Bandaru Dattatraya will be the Chief Guest at the convocation. Before the convocation ceremony, an Alumni Meet 2022 will be organized in Prof. Moolchand Auditorium of University on 26th February. In this sequence, the convener of the National Science Day celebrations starting from February 25 in the university, Prof. Sunita Srivastava, Convener of the programme informed that this year the University is going to organize various programs on the occasion of Science Day, which will start on February 25, with the exhibition of remarkable efforts of departments of CUH and schools under the programme 'Wonders of Innovation'. This programme inaugurated by Prof. H.C. Verma Padmashri. Various competitions will be organised under the programme like painting, quiz, speech on 26 February, 2022. On the occasion of Science Day an expert lecture will be organised on 28 February,2022. Prof. Krishnamurthy Kanan, Former Vice-Chancellor of Nagaland University, and Prof. Neeraj Dilbagi, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology will deliver the lecture in this programme.
In this context, University's Annual Festival, Spandan and Foundation Day, to be celebrated on February 25, the Dean Student Welfare, Prof. Anand Sharma told that this year the one-day Spandan program will be inaugurated by Padmashri Prof. H.C. Verma. On this occasion, various cultural events like dance, poetry, drama, etc. will be presented by the students of the University and artists of Haryana State Arts Council through online and offline medium.
