Port Blair,: The Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences (ANIIMS), located in Sri Vijaya Puram, has officially released a vacancy notice for various positions under the "National One Health Programme for Prevention & Control of Zoonoses" (NOHP-PCZ). This recruitment drive is aimed at Indian Nationals to fill essential roles on a purely contractual basis for a duration of one year. The institute is looking for dedicated professionals to join their project team and contribute to this vital public health initiative.
The recruitment notice highlights two primary roles: Lab Technician and Data Entry Operator. For the Lab Technician position, there is one vacant post offering a monthly salary of Rs. 30,000/-. The Data Entry Operator role also has one vacancy with a proposed monthly salary of Rs. 20,000/-. Both positions are temporary, and candidates should note that these roles do not grant any right to claim regular appointment in the future.
Candidates applying for these roles must meet specific educational and age requirements.
For the Lab Technician post, applicants should ideally hold a Graduate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) from a recognized institution. Alternatively, candidates with a Diploma in MLT of at least two years' duration, or a Diploma/Certificate in MLT of at least one year's duration, are also eligible. Additional experience in a medical laboratory or a "Quality Assured Laboratory" is highly desirable and may give candidates a competitive edge. The age limit for this role is set between 18 and 33 years for males, and 18 and 38 years for females. For the Data Entry Operator position, the essential qualification is a Graduation degree accompanied by a one-year Diploma in Computer Applications. Candidates are also required to have one year of experience in a related field. A critical component of the selection process for this role is a computer-based typing test, where applicants must demonstrate a minimum speed of 35 words per minute in English. Only those who successfully pass this ten-minute typing test will be eligible for the subsequent interview. The age criteria remain the same as for the Lab Technician post.
Interested and eligible candidates are required to download the prescribed application format from the official websites of the Andaman & Nicobar Administration or the ANIIMS college website. The completed application, along with all necessary supporting documents, including proof of age, educational certificates (10th pass, UG/PG, and specialized course certificates), experience certificates, Aadhaar card, and PAN card, must be submitted by the deadline. The last date for receiving applications is February 26, 2026. Following the application screening, the Interview and Skill Test are scheduled for March 4, 2026, starting at 9:30 AM. Candidates must report on time and bring all original documents for verification at the time of the interview.
