Allahabad University: Now Faculty wise Pre PhD course

Prayagraj: There is good news for those who are enrolled in PhD in Allahabad University and affiliated colleges. Pre-PhD courses are being given a pre-research course. The university has prepared a new syllabus for Pre-PhD course. The syllabus for Pre-PhD will be faculty wise (Arts, Science, Commerce and Law). Faculty wise class and exam will be conducted. The new curriculum will be implemented effectively after getting approval from the Academic Council. Research scholars will have to compulsorily do a six-month pre-PhD course.

Till now, department wise courses were prepared for Pre-PhD in Allahabad University. Like, different courses were prepared for the subjects to be conducted under the Faculty of Arts. Due to this, the course conduct of Pre-PhD and the date of examination also differed. This made it challenging for the researchers to complete the research work on time.

The application process for admission in the new academic session 2022-23 Masters in Allahabad University and affiliated colleges will start at the end of May. The time period of the tender issued for agency selection is over and within a week the final seal will also be taken on agency selection.

The process of online application for PG admission in Allahabad University is to be done through the agency. Tender was issued 21 days ago for agency selection, whose deadline has been completed on May 14. On Tuesday, the process of technical and financial bidding will be completed and the agency will be selected. Chairman for PG admission Prof. Prashant Ghosh informed that the process of online application for PG admission will be started at the end of May. It is to be known that this time the Joint Entrance Examination is being conducted through National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission in graduation in Allahabad University.

“According to the guidelines of UGC, preparations have been completed for the combined pre-PhD program of each faculty. From which session it will be implemented, it will be decided in the meeting of the Academic Council. After this it will be implemented in the university,” Dr Jaya Kapoor, PRO, Allahabad University said.
