Gorakhpur: The AIIMS Gorakhpur has announced recruitment for various contractual positions under an ICMR-funded project titled “A Cytogenetic Study of Suspected Cases of Chromosomal Aberrations in Uttar Pradesh Region of North India.”

According to the official advertisement, the recruitment is for temporary positions at AIIMS Gorakhpur for a project duration up to January 14, 2026.

The institute is inviting applications for posts including Project Technical Support III and Project Technician. The roles involve cytogenetics laboratory work, sample collection and transport, data entry, and coordination with participating centres.

For Project Technical Support III, candidates must have a science background with relevant diploma/degree and work experience, with a maximum age limit of 30 years. For Project Technician posts, candidates should have Diploma (MLT/DMLT) or equivalent qualification with relevant experience, with an age limit of 28 years.

The selection process will be conducted through a walk-in interview, and candidates are required to appear with necessary documents.

Selected candidates will receive a monthly consolidated salary of ₹20,000 for Project Technical Support III and ₹18,000 for Project Technician, along with admissible HRA as per Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) guidelines.

Officials stated that the project focuses on genetic research and chromosomal abnormalities, aiming to strengthen medical research capabilities in the region.
