New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the Admit Cards for the Graduate Aptitude Test – Biotechnology (GAT-B) and the Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) 2026 as of 13th May, 2026. They may be accessed through the GAT-B & BET 2026 page on the official NTA website.
Both of these specialised national-level examinations are conducted on behalf of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. The GAT-B is designed to earn admission into biotechnology programmes at the postgraduate level, while the BET selects candidates who may receive the DBT – Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) to pursue doctoral research (Ph.D.) in the same field. Both examinations will be conducted in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode at different centres in a total of 54 cities across India on 17th May, 2026.
Candidates are to download their Admit Card(s) by logging in to the website using their Application Number and Password. They are advised to then go through the instructions presented there, as well as in the Information Bulletin.
It is to be noted that the Admit Cards are to only be downloaded through the website. They will not be separately delivered to candidates via postal service.
Applicants are to also note that the Admit Cards are released on a provisional basis and that they may receive theirs only if they fulfill the eligibility criteria for the examination(s). Moreover, being issued one does not mark the end of the admission process; candidates’ eligibility will continue to remain under scrutiny for certain subsequent stages.
Candidates are to ensure that the physical copy of their Admit Card is not mutilated. This copy is to be preserved for future reference.
