Bengaluru :  The Department of Physiotherapy of the Manipal College of Health Professionals is accepting applications for its Advanced Clinical Practice in Physiotherapy certificate course, which is set to begin on February 1. The last day to apply is January 25.

The purpose of this course is to give qualified physiotherapists the skills and knowledge required to implement evidence-based practices into various clinical conditions and contexts related to physiotherapy practice. After course completion, physiotherapists will perform literature searches effectively, identify and appraise evidence, implement evidence-based strategies into clinical practices, and use the appropriate and relevant outcomes measures to measure therapeutic efficacy. Students will also receive advanced training through rotatory postings in Kasturba Hospital in Manipal. This will give them additional clinical experience and any additional credits earned will be used to help students in their education and get better placements abroad.

This is a full-time, onsite program of six months and will include clinical hands-on experience, academic sessions, and self directed learning modules. To be eligible, applicants need to be a qualified physiotherapist, have a Bachelor’s degree Physiotherapy from a recognized institution, and have completed a mandatory internship of six months. Students will earn 15 credits and a monthly stipend of Rs. 3,000. The course fee is Rs. 40,000.
