Prayagraj - The Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS), Prayagraj, has announced admissions to full-time and part-time Ph.D. programmes for the Spring Semester of Academic Session 2025–26 (January–June 2026).

According to the notification, admissions will be conducted through an AI-based remotely proctored SHUATS online Ph.D. Entrance Test (SOPET 2026) followed by an online departmental interview. The admission process will be carried out in accordance with the latest UGC regulations.

The university has announced a large number of vacant seats across a wide range of disciplines. Major areas include Agriculture and Allied Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Forestry, Environmental Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, Business Studies, Commerce, Education, English, Psychology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Social Sciences, and other interdisciplinary fields. Both regular (minimum three years) and part-time (minimum four years) options are available in several programmes.

As per the schedule released by the SHUATS, the last date for submission of the online application form is 8 February 2026. The admit cards for SOPET 2026 will be issued on 9 February 2026, while the online entrance test will be conducted on 11 February 2026. The online departmental interviews are scheduled for 13 February to 2026. 

 University officials stated that the Ph.D. programmes aims to promote advanced research, innovations and academic excellence by providing opportunities to scholars from diverse academic backgrounds. The programme are designed to strengthen research capabilities and contribute to national and global knowledge systems.
