Kolkata : West Bengal State University has announced to all that the applications are invited for the 8 seats ( GENERAL 03, SC-02, ST- 00, OBC-A- 01, OBC-B-01, EWS-01) for PhD English department.

Those candidates who have already applied for PhD in response to the application no WBSU/Reg/Ph.D/Admission/Notice/100/2024/dated 27/05/2024 and are desirous of appearing for the interviews for these news seats, need to submit an application letter citing their Form number or a copy of their earlier Challan. They DONOT need to pay or full up an application form again.

Candidates are requested to kindly submit their application letter to the Ph.D Section, Administrative building, WBSU.

The candidates may download the application form from the University website. The downloaded is to be submitted along with the application fee of Rs.1000, Rs. 500 for SC/ST candidates. 

The fee should be in cash and need to be submitted to the University counter from 12 Noon to 3:30 PM on any date from 24/10/2024- 22/11/2024 (except Saturdays and Sundays) and also on University holidays. 

The students are requested to keep track of the requirements, dates and timings for the smoother function of this process.
