New Delhi: Mother Divine Public School (MDPS), Sector 3, Rohini, Delhi, celebrated a delightful Grandparents' Day on Saturday, 7th September 2024, bringing joy to both the young and the elderly. The event, organized by the Junior Programme, was held in two segments — one for Nursery and KG, and the other for Grade I and II students.
The celebration commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony led by Junior Programme Coordinator Ms. Aastha Bhola, joined by Middle and Senior Programme Coordinators Ms. Sahibjeet Kaur and Ms. Anita Gupta, along with some honored grandparents. A captivating Ganesh Vandana by Grade I and II students set a spiritual tone, followed by a charming welcome dance performed by Nursery and KG students. The young students also recited rhymes dedicated to their grandparents, showcasing their love and gratitude.
The event featured various engaging activities for the grandparents, such as "Memory Lane," a talent showcase, and a craft workshop where they actively participated and shared their experiences. Adding a musical touch, Mayank Sir’s special singing performance brought smiles to everyone.
The day concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Ms. Aastha Bhola. The event was a resounding success, with grandparents praising the thoughtful celebration and the efforts of the students and staff.
