UGC NET June 2026 Result, Cutoff Marks Released; Check Subject and Category-Wise Details
New Delhi, August 28, 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the UGC-NET June 2026 results for 84 subjects. Candidates can access and download their scorecards through the official UGC-NET website. Along with the UGC-NET June 2026 results, the National Testing Agency has also released the subject-wise and category-wise cutoff marks for the 84 subjects covered in the current result.
The examination for these 84 subjects was conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode on June 22, 23, 24, 25, 29 and 30, as well as July 1, 2026, across 655 examination centres in 286 cities.
UGC NET June 2026 Result: Key Figures
According to the result data released by NTA:
- Candidates registered: 7,73,806
- Candidates appeared: 6,07,151
- Qualified for JRF and Assistant Professor: 4,241
- Qualified for Assistant Professor and PhD admission: 45,904
- Qualified for PhD only: 97,434
Among the 7,73,806 registered candidates, 4,30,195 were female, 3,43,575 were male and 36 belonged to the third-gender category.
Results Declared for 84 Subjects
The UGC-NET June 2026 result for the 84 subjects has been declared on August 28, 2026.
NTA had hosted the question papers, provisional answer keys and recorded responses for these subjects from August 16 to August 18, allowing candidates to raise challenges.
The challenges were subsequently examined by subject experts, and the results were processed on the basis of the answer keys finalised by the experts.
Re-Examination for English, Commerce and Sociology
The examination for English, Commerce and Sociology is not included in the results announced on August 28.
NTA will conduct the examination for these three subjects again on:
- September 9, 2026
- September 10, 2026
Candidates belonging to these subjects will have to appear for the re-conducted examination.
Important Note for Candidates
Candidates from English, Commerce and Sociology may see an “Invalid Application Number/Password” message if they try to access their UGC-NET June 2026 scorecard before the re-conducted examination.
NTA has clarified that the scorecard and result for these candidates will be made available only after the re-conducted examination.
How to Check UGC NET June 2026 Result
Candidates whose results have been declared can check their scorecards by visiting the official UGC-NET website and logging in with their credentials.
Candidates should download and retain a copy of their scorecard for future reference.
NTA has also clarified that eligibility criteria, self-declarations and other required documents of qualified candidates will be verified by the concerned authorities according to the norms prescribed in the UGC-NET June 2026 Information Bulletin.
UGC NET June 2026 Cutoff Marks Released
Along with the UGC-NET June 2026 results, the National Testing Agency has also released the subject-wise and category-wise cutoff marks for the 84 subjects covered in the current result.
Candidates can check the cutoff marks applicable to their subject and category to understand the minimum marks required for the respective UGC-NET qualification categories.
The cutoff information is available for different qualification categories, including Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor, Assistant Professor and PhD admission, and PhD only.
Candidates are advised to check the official cutoff document carefully and match their subject, category and qualification status with the relevant cutoff marks.
