RIMCEE 2026 Registration Begins: NTA Invites Applications for RIMC Class VIII Entrance Exam
Dehradun .: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has invited online applications for the Rashtriya Indian Military College Entrance Examination (RIMCEE) 2026 for admission to Class VIII at the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun, for the July 2027 academic term.
The RIMCEE 2026 examination will be conducted on December 6, 2026, through a pen-and-paper-based test. Interested candidates can submit their applications online within the prescribed schedule.
RIMCEE 2026 Exam Date and Pattern
The entrance examination will be conducted as follows:
- Examination: RIMCEE 2026
- Admission: Class VIII, RIMC Dehradun
- Academic Term: July 2027
- Exam Date: December 6, 2026
- Mode: Pen-and-paper-based test
- Examination Cities: 39 cities across India
- Paper Pattern: Descriptive questions in Mathematics and English, and multiple-choice questions in General Knowledge

RIMCEE 2026 Eligibility Criteria
For admission to the July 2027 term, candidates must meet the prescribed age requirement.
Candidates should be:
- At least 12 years and 6 months old, and
- Not more than 14 years old
- The age will be calculated as on July 1, 2027.

RIMCEE 2026 Application Dates
The online application window will remain open from September 1 to September 30, 2026, up to 5 PM.
Important deadlines are:
- Online application begins: September 1, 2026
- Last date to submit application: September 30, 2026, up to 5 PM
- Last date for successful fee transaction: September 30, 2026, up to 11:50 PM
- Late application window: October 1 to October 7, 2026, up to 5 PM
- Last date to pay late fee: October 7, 2026, up to 11:50 PM
Candidates submitting applications during the late window will be required to pay the prescribed late fee.
RIMCEE 2026 Application Fee
The examination fee varies according to the candidate category:
- General / Wards of Defence Personnel and Ex-Servicemen / OBC-NCL: ₹1,000
- SC/ST: ₹500
- Late fee: ₹500 in addition to the applicable examination fee
The examination fee can be paid online through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking or UPI.
