NTA Issues Advisory for Candidates on Submitting Exam-Related Grievances
New Delhi, September 3, 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an advisory for candidates submitting grievances and examination-related concerns through email and social media. The agency said it receives a large volume of grievances every day, but many complaints do not contain basic identifying details, making it difficult to trace candidates among lakhs of applicants and respond promptly.
To help candidates receive a faster and more appropriate response, NTA has advised them to provide complete and relevant information while submitting their concerns.
The agency has asked candidates to follow these key steps while raising a grievance:
- Use the registered email ID: Candidates should send their grievance from the email address used during the examination application process.
- Mention the Application Number: The application number should be clearly included in the subject line of the email.
- Specify the examination: Candidates should clearly mention the name of the examination related to their concern.
- Explain the issue briefly: The grievance should clearly describe the problem faced by the candidate.
- Attach supporting documents: Candidates should include relevant screenshots or documents, wherever required, to help NTA understand and verify the issue.
- Use the correct examination helpdesk: Candidates should send their concerns to the dedicated helpdesk email address provided in the respective examination's Information Bulletin and official website.
NTA said that providing these details will help its teams identify the concerned candidate and route the grievance to the appropriate desk, enabling quicker processing and response.
The agency reiterated that it remains committed to addressing candidates' concerns with fairness and diligence. NTA also urged applicants to ensure that their emails contain sufficient information so that their issues can be examined without unnecessary delays.
