MCC Adds 30 MBBS Seats to NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2 Seat Matrix

New Delhi, September 5, 2026: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has added 30 new MBBS seats to the Seat Matrix of Round-2 of UG Counselling 2026.

The seats have been added following information received by MCC from the concerned medical institutes dated September 5, 2026.

With the addition of these seats, candidates participating in Round-2 of NEET UG Counselling 2026 will be able to exercise their choices for the newly added seats.

However, MCC has announced that the Choice Filling process will be temporarily halted due to the addition of the new seats.

Candidates are advised to regularly check the official MCC website for the latest updates regarding the counselling process, seat matrix and choice filling.

30 New MBBS Seats Added

A total of 30 MBBS seats have been added to the Round-2 UG Counselling 2026 Seat Matrix across three medical colleges.

The newly added seats are distributed as follows:

Three Institutes Receive Additional Seats

The latest MCC update covers medical colleges in Bagalkote, Chapra (Saran) and Samastipur.

The largest addition has been made at Bagalkote Medical College and Research Institute, where 15 MBBS seats have been added. Government Medical College Chapra has received seven additional MBBS seats, while Shri Ram Janki Medical College and Hospital, Samastipur has received eight seats.

With these additions, candidates participating in Round-2 of NEET UG Counselling 2026 will have additional MBBS seat options to consider when the choice-filling process resumes.
