JK Lakshmipat University Hosts BFSI & Service Sector Forum on Future Skills, Technology and AI
Jaipur: JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU) hosted the BFSI & Service Sector Futures Forum at its campus, bringing together industry professionals, academicians, students and business leaders to discuss how artificial intelligence, technology and changing customer expectations are reshaping careers and workplaces.
Held under the theme “Reimagining BFSI & Services: Skills, Technology and AI for the Future,” the forum focused on emerging career opportunities, digital transformation, evolving skill requirements and leadership expectations in the banking, financial services, insurance and broader service sectors.
Industry-Academia Collaboration Takes Centre Stage
Welcoming the participants, Dr. Vijaysekhar Chellaboina, Vice-Chancellor, JK Lakshmipat University, said that future professionals would need to combine strong fundamentals with technology, adaptability and a sense of purpose.
He highlighted the importance of industry-academia platforms in helping students understand changing workplace requirements and prepare for new career opportunities.
Mr. Prem Singh, President, Group HR, JK Organisation, said the BFSI and service sectors are undergoing significant changes driven by technology, evolving customer expectations and new ways of working.
He emphasised the importance of continuous learning and the ability to combine domain knowledge, digital fluency and human skills.
According to Singh, closer collaboration between universities and industry can help students prepare not only for current jobs but also for emerging roles and opportunities.
FinTech and Digital Transformation Reshaping BFSI Careers
The first panel discussion focused on “Building Successful Careers in Banking & FinTech: Opportunities, Challenges and the Road Ahead.”
The discussion examined the changing career landscape in banking and financial technology, including emerging roles, evolving skill requirements and the impact of digital transformation.
The panel featured:

- Sachiin Sharma, Senior Vice President-II & National Manager, HR, AU Small Finance Bank
- Sanjay Thakur, Senior Vice President, HDFC Bank
The session was moderated by Dr. Riya Sureka, Assistant Professor, Institute of Management, JKLU.
The discussion highlighted how the expansion of FinTech and digital banking is creating new opportunities while increasing the need for professionals with a combination of financial knowledge and technology skills.
Future of Work in Service Sector
The second panel examined “The Future of Work in Service Sector: Emerging Roles, New Skills and Leadership Expectations.”
The discussion focused on changing workplace expectations, emerging job roles and the leadership capabilities required in an increasingly technology-driven economy.

The session was moderated by Dr. Anindya Ghosal, Associate Professor, Hari Shankar Singhania School of Business.
The panel explored how organisations are adapting to technological change and what students and young professionals need to develop to remain relevant in a rapidly changing employment landscape.
Focus on Future-Ready Skills
A key theme across the forum was the growing importance of continuous learning, digital capability and adaptability.
As AI and other technologies become increasingly integrated into business operations, professionals are expected to develop both technical and human capabilities. Communication, leadership, problem-solving and adaptability are likely to remain important alongside sector-specific and digital expertise.
The forum also provided students with an opportunity to interact with senior industry professionals and gain insights into the changing requirements of BFSI and service-sector employers.
The programme also featured a presentation on the Hari Shankar Singhania School of Business (HSB) by its Director, Dr. Archana Shukla.
