Chandigarh: The Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), Haryana, has extended the admission schedule for postgraduate programmes for the 2026-27 academic session. The revised schedule gives applicants additional time to complete registration, make corrections to their applications and address document-related discrepancies. The extension is expected to provide relief to students who could not complete the admission process within the earlier deadline. Candidates applying for postgraduate courses in Haryana colleges should now follow the revised schedule and complete the required formalities within the updated deadlines.
Haryana PG Admission 2026 Revised Dates
Under the revised schedule, online registration for postgraduate admissions will remain open until August 21, 2026. Candidates will be able to edit their application forms until August 22. The document verification and discrepancy removal process will continue until August 23, when the provisional merit list is also scheduled to be published. The final merit list will be released on August 24, 2026. Candidates shortlisted through the admission process will then have to complete the fee payment for the first round between August 25 and August 27. Physical counselling for seats remaining vacant after the initial admission process is scheduled to begin from August 28, 2026.
What Candidates Need to Do
Students who have already registered should check their application details carefully and make corrections during the permitted editing period. Those yet to apply should complete registration before the August 21 deadline rather than waiting until the final day. Candidates should also ensure that all required academic and supporting documents have been submitted correctly. Any discrepancy identified during verification should be resolved within the given timeline. After the final merit list is published, eligible candidates should follow the instructions issued by DHE Haryana regarding seat allotment and fee payment.
