74th Republic Day celebrated in CUH

140 crore people of India are the biggest strength of this republic : prof. Tankeshwar Kumar

 

Mahendergarh.: The 74th Republic Day of India was celebrated with gusto at Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh. The Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar first bowed down to the martyred soldiers in the service of the country at the VidyaVeertaSthalin the University. After this, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar hoisted the flag in the garden located in the administrative block. On this occasion, he extended best wishes to teachers, staff and students on Republic Day and Vasant Panchami. On this occasion, the Vice-Chancellor also paid tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of the brave soldiers posted on the borders of the country. On this occasion, the first woman of the University, Prof. Sunita Srivastava; Prof. Sunil Kumar, Registrar had a dignified presence.

Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar said in his address that 140 crore people of India are the biggest strength of this republic. Describing the Indian Constitution as a holy book, he said that only by following the Constitution, we have been able to present India as a strong democracy on the global stage. Saluting the architect of India's constitution, BabasahebBhimraoAmbedkar, the Vice-Chancellor said that Babasaheb framed the constitution keeping the common man at the center. The Vice-Chancellor said that we are setting new records at the global level everyday under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He said that today India's spiritual and cultural heritage is getting new recognition in the world and it is our moral duty to inform our future generations about our glorious history and culture.

Referring to the government's ambitious schemes like Make in India, Digital India, Skill India, Startup India, Self-reliant India, BetiBachao, BetiPadhao, the Vice-Chancellor said that Central University of Haryana is making significant contribution in all these schemes. He also called upon everyone to understand their responsibility and take a pledge to give their hundred percent to fulfill it. The Vice-Chancellor said that the University has successfully completed the admission process for undergraduate, postgraduate and research courses. Three new courses were introduced. Along with this, the Dr. Ambedkar Center of Excellence is being successfully operated for free coaching to the scheduled caste students for the preparation of the Union Public Service Commission examination. In this sequence, on the front of employment generation, the University is engaged in realizing the resolution of Atmnirbhar Bharat with the help of RozgarSrijan Kendra. He said that the work of appointment and promotion of teachers and employees is going on continuously. Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar on the occasion appreciated the ongoing efforts by various stakeholders for the cause of the students. Mentioning the proposed National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) evaluation in his address, the Vice-Chancellor said that definitely this time also the University will achieve a good rank with the collective efforts of all. The University has been performing remarkably well on the front of teaching, research, research as well as institutional development with all the stakeholders. With the development of hostel facilities for the students and accommodation facilities for the staff in the University, soon a new library building and auditorium facilities will be developed.

At the end of the programme, the Vice-Chancellor of the University while wishing everyone Republic Day, praised the efforts of the country's soldiers, farmers and intellectuals and encouraged everyone to contribute to India's progress. In the beginning of the program, Dean Student Welfare, Prof. Anand Sharma presented the introduction of the Vice Chancellor and  the outline of the programme. Various patriotic presentations were given by the students of the University in the event. The Registrar of the University, Prof. Sunil Kumar proposed the vote of thanks. The stage was moderated by Sunil Agarwal. On this occasion Prof. Sarika Sharma, Prof. Sanjiv Kumar, Prof. NeelamSangwan, Prof. Phool Singh, Prof. RanjanAneja, Dr. Ajaypal Sharma, Prof. Chanchal Kumar Sharma, Prof. Ranbir Singh, Librarian Dr. Santosh CH, Prof. Pramod Kumar, Prof. Ajay Bansal, Prof. Pawan Kumar Maurya, Prof. PayalChandel, Prof. Gaurav, Dr. Ramesh Kumar, Dr. Shantesh Kumar Singh, Prof. Rajesh Kumar Gupta, Dr. Manoj Kumar, Dr. Ashok Sharma and Deans, Head of Departments, teachers, officers and employees of various departments participated.
