Sonipat, Haryana : Ashoka University has officially opened its undergraduate admission process for the 2026 academic session, beginning October 13, 2025. The university, renowned for its liberal arts and multidisciplinary education, has announced 500 scholarships to support deserving students from across India.
500 Scholarships for 2026 Intake
In a major step towards inclusive and merit-based education, Ashoka University is offering a combination of merit and need-based scholarships for students applying to its undergraduate programmes in Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Economics.
1. Special Merit Scholarships (50 awards)
These scholarships provide full tuition fee waivers to students demonstrating exceptional academic achievements, such as:
- JEE Mains: 98 percentile and above
- IISER Aptitude Test: Top 2000 ranks
- CMI Entrance Exam: Top 100 ranks
- Indian National Olympiads: Training camp qualifiers
2. Achievers’ Merit Scholarships (150 awards)
Students securing 98% or higher in CBSE or ICSE/ISC Class X and XII (final or predicted results) and performing well in the Ashoka admission process are eligible for up to 100% tuition fee waivers.
3. Need-Based Scholarships (300 awards)
Designed for students requiring financial support, these awards assess family income, savings, and dependents to determine the level of assistance.
Students who qualify for merit-based awards can also apply for additional need-based aid if required.

Admissions and Application Rounds
Admissions will be conducted in four rounds, starting from October 13, 2025, and closing on May 31, 2026, giving students multiple opportunities to apply and secure admission.
Nationwide Admission Tests and Accessibility
Ashoka University will conduct its admission test at 37 centres across India. The university has also ensured inclusive facilities for students with physical disabilities or mobility challenges during the examination and admission process.
