New Delhi: .The National Institute of Technology, Rourkela received the highest number of job offers during the campus placement in academic year. 

NIT Rourkela received a total 1534 job offers from more than 330 companies during the campus placement process. 

More than 95℅ students of B. Tech programme have been placed . 

Branches like B. Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, and Ceramic Engineering recorded 100℅ placement of registered students. During the placement drive, 24 students secured a package more than Rs 50 lakh. Further, 8 students got an offer of Rs. 52.89 LPA. 

The Computer Science department recorded an average CTC of Rs. 21.87 LPA. The average CTC for Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering is Rs. 18.12 LPA. The average CTC for Electronics and Communication is Rs. 17.97 LPA and the Electrical department stands an average of Rs. 14.55 LPA. 

Companies that took placements like Shell, Schlumberger, EXX Mobile, Tata Steel and John Deere etc. Analytics and Consulting accounted for 15.3℅ including companies like Deloitte, PWC, Decimal point analytics, and Kantar etc. 

On the occasion, Professor K Uma Maheshwar Rao, Director of NIT Rourkela said " Overall, NIT Rourkela's successful 2022-2023 placement season is a testament to the bright talent over Institute fosters. A good placement/internship rate reflect the quality of education and the skills developed by the students over a period in NIT Rourkela. I congratulate the students, faculty and the career departments, who  worked hard for bright future of students.
