New Delhi. : In a crucial update for engineering aspirants, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee has extended the registration deadline for JEE Advanced 2026, offering candidates a final opportunity to complete their application process. Students can now register and pay the required fee until 11:59 PM on May 5, 2026, through the official portal.

The extension comes just days before the exam, scheduled for May 17, 2026, making this a narrow but critical window for those who have not yet applied. Authorities have advised candidates to avoid last-minute delays and complete the process promptly.

Registration Process and Important Note

Candidates must log in using their JEE Main 2026 credentials to access the application form. The process includes filling in personal and academic details, uploading necessary documents, and completing the online payment.

It is important to note that registration will only be considered successful after the fee payment is completed. Applicants should also download and print the confirmation page for future reference.

Application Fee Structure

The application fee for JEE Advanced 2026 is:

  • ₹3,200 for General category candidates
  • ₹1,600 for Female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates

The fee is non-refundable and must be paid online during registration.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for JEE Advanced 2026:

  • Candidates must rank among the top 2,50,000 qualifiers in JEE Main 2026 (BE/BTech paper)
  • Applicants should be born on or after October 1, 2001 (with a five-year relaxation for SC, ST, and PwD candidates)
  • A maximum of two attempts in two consecutive years is allowed
  • Candidates must have appeared for their Class 12 (or equivalent) examination for the first time in 2025 or 2026
  • Students who have already secured admission in any IIT are not eligible

Documents Required

Applicants must upload the following documents during registration:

  • Class 10 certificate or birth certificate (for date of birth proof)
  • Class 12 marksheet or proof of appearing in 2025/2026
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Gazette notification in case of name discrepancies
  • Final Opportunity for Aspirants
